Does Growing Eliminate Buying?

So I'm a complete newbie when it comes to growing. Couple of (probably) real dumb questions:

Does growing eliminate the need to purchase bud?
I've read you can yield 2 oz+ a plant. If only being used for personal use and assuming you are content with smoking the same strain constantly.

Do you continue to use the same plant? Or is it one and done?
Is it cost effective to grow rather than buy?
If I had a single plant, am I set assuming I yield what I smoke?
Or do you have to continue to purchase anything that makes it not worth it?

If you grow your own there will be no need to buy from anyone else.
Sorry, I didn't clarify. Is it cost effective to grow rather than buy?

I've been a grower for 4 yrs now. Since my 1st harvest I refuse to spend a dime in someone else's meds. Now I did buy a few grams of chaos from NN when I got my clones from her. I had to as chaos is top notch.

That's awesome. Do you live where it's legal to grow?

Thera a lot of growing styles. My indoor girls reach 2 pounds, not just two zips lol

The answer is that it depends on how well you can grow, right?

nutes etc can be expensive if you go overboard with all the latest nutes around.
To start off hydro all you need is veg a/b bloom a/b and pk13 14.. after that you can add a few supplements and additives to improve but like i said grow shops are making a lot of money out of unnecessary nutes and additives.

It's very cost effective....... If you don't buy into every gimmick, gadget, and snake oil nutes these companies are trying to push... remember it's a plant that can grow all by itself. Starting small, makes sure it's something you like, don't ever count on a harvest until it's cured in a jar and read read read.. If you just keep it simple you'll save untold money.

but if you are like me and smoke 5 joints a day then yes, growing makes sense.
5 joints a day I do 5 before I leave the house! I'd say you'd save more money buying it to growing it, I can and do smoke between 1 and 2 oz a month, I have had 4 crops and in between all of them I have found myself buy weed from dealers, you could have a bumper haul and yeild a whopper but I doubt it will happen on your 1st or 2nd crop
