Excuse me if I missed this somewhere, but does anyone have a good method for upkeep of their lacto? I am hoping there is a reliable way to add to my culture to keep it alive without making a second batch from step 1. If anyone has ideas or info it would be greatly appreciated.

Make a large amount of the concentrate. Then store in the fridge. Then activate a little at a time. 1:1:20, 1 part labs, 1 part molasses or brown sugar, 20 parts clean water. Ferment for 2 - 3 weeks when ph is below 4.0
Typically 18 liquid oz of molasses and 18 liquid oz of labs and the rest water will make 5 gallons of AEM - Activated Effective Microorganisms / aka activated labs.
The concentrate is good for 1 year in the fridge. The aem is good for 6 months at room temp.
2 gallons of concentrate last me a year.

If you use the concentrate in a feeding or foliar its 1:100 dilution rate. The aem in both is 1/4 cup per gallon
