Cree CXB Color Temp and PPF

Hey all LED DIYers. I noticed that the lumens decrease for the warmer color temps and subsequently it seems people have suggested 3500k as opposed to 3000k as a sort of happy medium which keeps a lot of red but gets more lumens. What I don't understand is whether the PPF actually decreases. Is this not just a manifestation of the luminosity function?

I suggest you do some homework and #STUDY.

I did notice SupraSPL saying something about dividing by the LER for various color temps, but I'm not sure where one accesses such a number and how that is measured in the first place.
