Flush mid flower? PIC INSIDE

Hi guys,

So im currently in week 4 of flower of an 8-9 weeker and the girls leaves are really dark green. A few of them have weird 90 degree turns at the tips aswell which seems to me like N toxicity.

They all look healthy and seem to be reaching for the light, no claw and no tips are going yellow just a really dark shade of green.

Current feeding schedule is this:

Coco
31ml of canna A&B
20ml of Big Bud
10ml of Rhizo
(Per 10L)

If I was to flush the girls for a couple of days what strengths would you suggest?

I would simply back off the amounts used AFTER a week to 10 days of nothing but straight pH'ed water!

A flush would make the media too wet for possibly too long creating several situations that could cause far more harm then high N.

An overwatering anaerobic condition could start and cause root rot.
pH would go out of wack and a few other things too.

So simply water the problem away for 7-10 days.

Reduce the amount of the N used or increase the waterings between feedings.....

I gotta ask - What soil?
How often do you feed?

When growing in soil you're not suppose to feed on every watering.

I'm currently in Canna coco so if i fed them nothing but water for a week they would starve as coco doesn't hold any nutes does it.

I don't want to flush the media out completely I just want to reduce the nute amounts as I've flushed coco before with nothing but water and they didn't react well to it and hardly took anything up as it was just water.

I feed every morning at the same amounts of feed. I was thinking of cutting the nutes down to 10ml A&B per 10L so it's a very week mix and cutting the big bud out completely for 3/4 days?

If coco doesn't hold any nutes what is flushing it gonna do? Your plant look fine to me. If you think the leaves ate too green cut the ec/ppm down and see how they respond.

that leaf is curving like it would if it had broad mites. maybe check for thos.

I don't see a "problem" with your N either! ( lol - I didn't "see" coco either, my bad )

You can simply water it out with Coco! It would be less time like 5-7 days.....

I grow in happy frog and I've grown in SS#4, "flushing" to me is running multiple gallons through plant either in the tub or using a shop vac to clear the water from trays.

I water with ph'd water every 3-4 waterings… used to never do this but it's greatly improved my grow, you should try this next cycle and you probably won't see any problems like you are.

I don't think it's BM, been there, typically the curved fingers come with the claw and vice versa, those leaves look much to healthy.

I decided to water with 10ml of A&B (per 10L as apposed to 31ml per 10L... I've also cut th rhizo and big bud out.. I think I'm going to do this for another day or two and then gradually work my way back up.

Anytime you feel like your plant has slowed down or nutrients arent being taken up correctly... Give it a flush. Now, thats 3x the amount of media though for a true flush. If you have 2gal pots like me, that 6 gal to flush. Then, you have to wait a few days without feeding for the plant to take up the remaining nutrients. If it is mid-flower, I would give it fertilizer one to three more times, with a flush again after the last determined flush interval.

I personally flush during transplant from 4" to 2gal pots, the day before transition from veg to flower, an optional flush somewhere after that if I have gotten too aggressive with nutes, and then the last flush.

If you "flush" your plant with anything less than 3x the amount of media, you're only rinsing or leaching your soil. If you leach instead of flush at these points, you will just waterlog and asphyxiate your plant and have a toxic buildup of salts. Make sure that when you flush, you flush.

Another thing I will add is I follow this same practice in veg so from veg to finish I do straight water every 3-4 waterings… that said in your current state I would follow the above instructions to flush out all your excess, my method works to never build up the excess.

WOW.....Flushing is better suited for toilets - not soil growing! 6 gallons of water through a 2 gallon pot is actually in the end, BAD for the plant!
Don't over feed and you will never have to leech excess !

Final flushing for "taste and burn" is a myth! Long dry and cure is the real answer.

Learn to do organic runs and never flush - EVER!

This is what I did and had great results though it was a pain in the ass. Every so often I'd put my plants on a milk crate in a Rubbermaid bin to catch the water. Then I'd run multiple gallons of ph'd water through the plants till I had some good runoff. I was growing in soil. 7 gal smart pots. Usually took 3 gals to get some good runoff. Fully saturated 7 gal smart pots that are holding 3 ft plants are a cunt to move around. I think next run I will feed- water-water- feed. I just thought that if you water and let the water sit in the pan for the plant to absorb back up you wouldn't be ridding the excess salts. I am using dyna gro so I was worried about salt buildup.
