I'm an elephant. Like Rainman, I remember a shit ton of extraneous trivia and details. Reminds me: When are you posting another cooking how to? We've been getting heavy into Chilli verde recipes. Also discovered an awesome charcuterie up north so making sausage too.You have a good memory

Computer Shopper was my bible. I went to the book store every month to pick up one of them. My first puter was Atari 400 in like 1983. Then I started using DOS in 85 and got an old Heath/Zenith that ran both DOS and CPM. I dabbled a bit with programming. Just simple stuff I would take from a book. Then I got a generic from Computer Shopper, it had an 8088 processor that ran at 10 MHz. No hard drive, just 2 5 1/4 floppies. That's like 87. From then I had a 286 and a 386 laptop. Also from Conputer Shopper. I used to play Doom all the time on my 386. Then I got into pentiums. I have a Gateway touch screen not that's about 4 or 5 years old. I rarely use it. Always do everything on my iPhone accept play poker. Have to use the PC for Bovada. I rarely play anymore. Anyway, around 2004 I started transitions to pocket PCs with a Dell Axim X50v. When the iPhone 3 came out. That's all she wrote. Been just using iPhones ever since. Like 2008. Had a Samsung smart phone before that. It didn't have google software. But, I could download to it using a prog to interface the phone with my computer. Games or whatever. It's been amazing watching technology grow. It was actually pretty amazing some of the military computers I used to. Do you remember the bulletin boards you could find in Computer Shopper? I got on AOL finally in the 90's. Dial up. lol. It was all that was available in my area at that time.I had a fully custom rig with lights and a window. Similar to this(not my pic, it's from the interwebs)

Man, things have changed so much. Back then it was single core cpu's. I remember when hyper threading and dual channel ram were all the rage. Now it's multiple core processors and ram large enough to fit games and shit, graphics cards are as large as the small frame mother boards. If I were to get back into it, it would be just for the building and tinkering aspect, not so much the gaming side.
Yeah, I like the other place too but somehow I feel more at home here. I wouldn't go posting pictures of my anus over there for example, whereas here it seems like a perfectly normal thing to do.I was on the Ubuntu Linux forum for a while but it's rather boring and no nonsense. I'm on one other mj forum but it's not as active as here but they do get to see the real neo from time to time. I open up about my feelings here and need a bottle of scotch and a shrink afterwards.
nah some stupid Australian oneWhich one? I hub?
Off roa, metal fab, custom fab that's my type of works. I love mocking and fabbing shit up. I don't do for a living but damn I would drop everything to get into it. I am east coast as well so not much fabbing or offloading but man it would be badassA couple different car/off road forums mainly. Unlike RIU, which seems to have a very good overall knowledge base about everything growing and growing related..it seems like i need to join multiple other forums to get the same level of info. I had to joined a diesel forum, an off road forum and a metal Fabrication forum because there aren't too many forums that are more towards the extreme side of fab/off road construction.
LOL..I hear that. My forum etiquette was nurtured mainly on RIU . Only other forum I've been on that allows stuff like here..and at times way worse ( they have a couple NSFW threads and a 35% thread( hidden porn and gore from around the web)..is Pirate4x4( off road forum).. and I love it!
I was on an overclocking forum back in the day. I had a fully water cooled pc that was a beast! I hung out there for a while, but eventually got banned for talking shit to a mod. Lol who'd a thunk? I visit from time to time because I'm unbanned, but I'm not a gamer like that anymore so it's not as interesting to me as it used to be.
you off restriction too? let's fuck this place up,lolDid you suck at gaming sir! I think so lol
Yes I am back and live as of today I think the last few days have been a lil faster but would slow after a few send. It was 30 days in County RIU lock up lolyou off restriction too? let's fuck this place up,lol
