Area51 RW150 or NEW Vero 29!

What's everyones opinion on this? I'm leaning towards pre ordering 8 x Vero 29.

That'd get it to the recommended 50 watts per square foot in a 4x4 so yes that should have been an option.

I PMed Jeff and he said that 50w per square foot with these would be overkill. He said 8 x Vero 29 will cover a 4.5x4.5 nicely.

The RWs are very good units , but the 8vero29 4K full cycle is hard to beat, I like the 3000K! seems to stretch the bud sites out a little!

Vero 29s V2 'm putting together a DIY panel with 4 of them for my small can grow,it'll probably be cheaper in the long run to make a panel with vero 29s.

The vero's are newer tech than the RW is, I would go for the vero's.

I think I have made a decision and I'm going after the Vero29 units. I'm taking ChroniKools advice and grabbing 10 units. I will use the 2 extra for a small veg tent

This is an interesting comparison, and once again brings up the question: Will COBs replace all other forms of LEDs?

Are there any situations in which a bank of 5w LEDs is superior to a similar output of COBs?

50W/sqft of vero 29 is so overkill unless you're growing 5 foot plants.. That's about 20W/sqft PAR.
