does anyone use molasses with recharge? (hydro)

so i have a question regarding recharge and molasses. i know recharge has s good amount of molasses but my question is can i add more? and if so, how much more? im thinking of using the "whole foods" brand molasses, i hear its very good. im also using maxi line nutes from GH in a 5 gal bucket with 2 airstones.

When you use a molasses = any straight molasses, in hydro you risk fermentation and other problems so.....
Molasses - alone, should not be used in hydro runs. Care should be taken if you use it in soilless too....Rule of thumb being, If you don't have a living bio heard in your media......Skip the molasses...

You might consider a "Sweet Raw" like product, in place of molasses......It works on several levels in all styles of grows...Increases tric and terp production.

You can make your own....

Botanicare's Sweet Raw.
65.00 a BOTTLE = get real......I can make it for less then a buck a gallon!

You will need and opaque bottle - gallon size
1 gallon RO water
8 TBL Epsom Salts
1 1/2 tsp DARK Brown sugar

Pour water into the gallon jug. Now pour 4 cups of that into a sauce pan.
Pan on stove and bring to a boil.
Add the epsom and the DARK brown sugar and boil for 4-5 min stirring nonstop till done.

Remove from stove and using a funnel, pour the mix into the bottle of water...Shake to mix and use like this.

week b4 bloom = 5ml per gallon of feed
week 1 = 10ml
week 3 = 15ml
week 6 = 20ml till finish

Works BETTER then the Botanicare and costs less then a buck a bottle!

thank you! i will def try this out... my only worry is can i over feed molasses?? im not too sure how concentrated the molasses in recharge is.

I tend to doubt that.....The myco's need a home to attach to.....only the one's that live on the roots would be effective......Most soil microbes live on things like the rock phosphate and some other surface's in the soil content's.....Hell , where would the fungal side of the mix go? I like a more fungal side Bio heard in my soils.....Ponderous, simply ponderous how people will say things about their products.....Just to make a buck....

I want more proof is what I would say to him......Give me living bio counts of that res please.....At differing times down the road too!

Just don't add molasses to hydro and you'll be good to go

This is what I've got in 53 days... I just flipped the lights. The plant started to blow up when I started feeding it recharge. The root ball became a tight solid ball within days. I top feed recharge daily, it drips down and grabs hold of the roots. It never really makes it into the res. Which is why I add it daily. This plant is loving life and I strongly believe it's due to recharge. Things changed drastically after I stared feeding it this stuff. This plant is 4 ft tall
