I think I have a male and a hermie :(

Hey yall, first time grower here. Outdoor, medicinal, from seed. Snow Wookie from Bodhi seeds..
I think two may be pollinating. .
one had no signs that i could see until one day I was putting on a net, and a whole branch ripped off, so I cloned it and it survived. I took a 2 week vacation and when I came back started seeing signs of male sacks (pic attached). Maybe the stress/trauma caused it to go male?

The other plant is a monster, was always the biggest of them all. I noticed flowers on it but i'm not sure.. any help greatly appreciated.

one more question plz... If I really like one of these (the biggest one with the most vigorous growth), is it possible to separate it from the rest of the garden and safely pollinate a female that looks promising, without compromising the other fems (if they haven't already been pollinated that is)? I'm thinking of pollinating with a high CBD strain to even out the THC/CBD, or perhaps even pollinating with a Mr. Nice Guy- no sense in wasting a good crises ;) lol

Is it possible to bag one and give to a friend who breeds? will the pollen last a day or so after I cut off a branch? If I relocate it an acre away will i be safe?

SO I hear Morocco's hemp pollinates Spain's cannabis from across the ocean- if I move the biggest baddest male I have an acre away, next to the sexiest female I have, will the rest of the girls be safe?

well "phobic" anything would be impossible because the only things I'm afraid of is..... losing my garden to male pollination.
and I normally blog/forum post in my speedos and feather hat, so I'm not wearing pants
A good do sir, speedos chaff my hairy thighs. I will continue to communicate with you only if you assure me your hat isn't a fedora....

Balls in your court bro.

they should be my mate. Be carful not to cause any of the pods to open prematurely. When you notice the pods opening, take one cluster and cut them off carefully sealing them in an air tight bag or container. Kull the male plant immediately, then dispose of it accordingly. Keep the UNOPENED cluster of pods refrigerated. When you would like to pollinate, use a small tipped paint brush to break the pods open and lace the brush hairs with the pollen. Use this to pollinate a SPECIFIC branch on a female. As long as you are precise with all of these directions you can harvest a whole plant of bud and one branch with seeds.

So back to the thread. .. How far do I have to move the best best male away from the others?
Edit: nevermind,Reddan already answered... I don't keep the male plant because i'm saving the unopened pods in the sandwich bag/refrigerator

oh no some pods have already opened!!! arrghhh Thanks for the tip!! good stuff

They're growing in Geopots containing a mixture of nicely soils/minerals.. Should I leave the root ball of the male and plant one of my teens in there, or will that disturb the new plant (i'm thinking the rootball/stalk have nutrients in them)?

its best to remove root ball and replace with fresh medium. You can still use the root ball in a compost if you have one. If you haven't got a compost pile make one, you'll thank yourself in the future. Welcome to the site my names reddan1981, you've got a great plan by the way, if more people showed your tolerance and life outlook the world would be halve way to repairing itself.

I was thinking (been told i shouldn't do that much), about what could possibly be stressing plants out, aside from intense heat this past two weeks. I know my nutes are good, in fact i tend to under feed but not to extent of noticeable. My water has been tested, looks good for well water.. The main window (about 5ftx6ft) in my place is 8 feet away from the nearest plant that turned male, and about 12ft awat from the other. Could turning on the kitchen light or watching tv late hours after sundown cause issues? What about during flower? Thinking I may have to mylar off those windows.

welcome to RIU @cherokee420 bummer about the males on your grow but yeah you need to stop thinking about it--sometimes the plants do that and there isn't anything you can do about it.
the light you're talking about isn't sufficient to bother the girls so no worries there. keep growing! 8)
