I don't think per sq foot is a good indicator either...just because the growing medium would be such a huge factor in that type or reasoning...I can get 1- 2 1/2 ounces in a 3 gallon organic soil or I can get 1-1 1/2 oz per 1 gallon Hempy strain dependent of course, and I can fit 2-4 in a sq foot. That Hempy will have maybe a week of veg from showing roots? Much longer veg time with the 3 gallon

Interesting thought, but I disagree. Show us the medium with the highest yield per square foot, by all means!

3 gallon DinaFem OG Kush yielded 37 grams, 1 gallon Hempy yielded 42, and then my solo cup gal-24 grams...as you can tell, I could fit more of the 1 gallon or solo cups per sq foot than I could that 3 gallon. Again, less than a week veg on the 1 gallon hempy
100% agree ,soil will make big difference . I bet if i use better nutrients ,and have better knowledge and experience with proper soil ,i could double yield ,no problem with my lights . I plan to built ebb and flow tables very soon ,and i think it should work better than promix and general hydro nutrients ,shit :) At least i hope so :))

Did you hear that General Hydroponics was bought out by Scotts? I guess they want to sell more than turf builder!
