I feed my plants in what seems like a normal way. Inexpensive dry nutes (Grow More Sea Grow). Some fish emulsion, fulvic acid and 1/8tsp/gal molasses to encourage soil activity.

I think what you meant is, "there aren't many plants on earth that have so many boutique nutrients to make it seem like the plant is unusual."

You mentioned The Rev. He does his TLO style right? I believe he makes his own compost teas, worm castings, and organic composts. I don't think he uses any name brand fertilizers but I might be wrong. If I am correct though this could be why he doesn't need to flush. Maybe the more natural the feed the easier it is on the plant.

Organic, synthetic, hydro, soil, Coco, water only, daily feeding. It makes no difference......You don't have to "flush" to improve taste or burn.
That's my point....period.

I don't see how you stating it makes it absolute. Why do you think scientific theories change? Because new info comes out. Science gets flipped upside down sometimes. Maybe the people doing the scientific test had a subconscious bias against flushing. It has been proven that the tester can have as much influence on the results as what is being tested. Just look at the food industry. Salt and fat. Are they good or bad? It changes every ten years. That's why I am trying to state things as opinions or base them on my experiences. Stating things as absolute facts causes tunnel vision.

Yes, there are lots, some that need more food than our favorite flower eats. Have you ever seen a pumpkin grow? Those things usually cover 30 square feet of garden so they really eat.
Here is a hydro chart that gives ppm for popular vegtables. Peppers of all kinds are amazing and yield massive amounts when grown hydroponicly. But you cant flush immobile nutrients from your peppers.

Why would you want to flush immobile nutrients out of your peppers even if you could. They're good for you!!

All that iron, zinc, calcium... isn't that what healthy fruits are supposed to have?

Maybe someone should try flushing peppers. Who knows, it might cause them to boost the amount of capsican (sp? the stuff that makes them hot). The crazy people that eat ghost and scorpion peppers would love it.

Also if we were eating the flowers maybe we wouldn't want flushing. It might be because we smoke them that flushing is useful.

Or maybe flushing is only needed for the nasty stuff like miracle grow.

It seems like you're arguing a lot of negatives to compensate for how you've never tried not flushing. ("Maybe space aliens brought us this plant. Maybe nobody's tried flushing other plants. Maybe ejaculating on a plant would help. I'm sure my flushing helps because I've always done it.").

Ive personally tried a side by side grow same strain same nutes same everything and imo id habe to say that the one that was flushed was alot smoother and tasted just as good if not better then the one i didnt flush( both green cracks in 707 soil bags with holes poked in the bottom for drainage and the tops cut off) the non flushed GC was a little harsh on the throat and burned my nose when exhaled threw my nose the one i flushed i had 0 problems smoked amazing this is just my own opinion and from here on out im flushing

I used maxsea for veg and i used seablast for bloom and they got hit with hydroplex every now and again i think the type of nutes u use being organic or synthetic plays a big role on whether you should flush or you shouldn't imo

My neighbor grows organic and instead of flushing with straight water she just gives her plants one big flush of molly water (molasses) then hits them every 2-3 days with a regular watering of moly water and her stuff comes out fire and burns incredibly smooth

I guess I am coming to a conclusion that flushing is dependant on growing skills. A great horticulturist will not need to flush. A newb will probably have to try to flush out the mistakes.

One more thing before the end.. I was walking along a trail in the wilderness a few weeks ago. I came across a blueberry patch. I decided to pick a few to lunch on while I found a nice area to set up camp. While I was eating these wild blueberries, I couldn't help to notice they were not flushed. I was a bit disappointed. I moved on on set up a camp fire with some tree limbs I found around the area. The next day I woke up, I was astonished. The ashes from the unflushed forest were white and gray. I did not understand this madness. The heat even seemed to be unflushed, though the ashes were white. I was at a loss for words. When I got back in to civilization, I realized what happened. I had entered Narnia. It's an experience I hope all of you have, though it's rather mind bending and surreal, it's something everyone should encounter.

Your ignorant as hell bro for people that are using synthetic nutrients they should flush but if your using soil from the earth or growing 100% organic then no you shouldn't flush good growers of all types prefer either way organic or synthetics just if you use synthetics its best to flush that nasty stuff out before you flame up

I'll start with what's simply hilarious. Notice how the first searches come up as forum threads. Explain that. Mj is 1 if a million plants. So, mj is special now because flushing is talked about on public forums (obviously by scientists like you and I)? I think you're right. People that grow 1000s of acres of food have been doing it wrong for eternity. But the people that have grown 2 plants in a closet and posted about flushing on a mj forum has changed the game.
