they have some problem... be it drug or gambling or drinking, theres no need to be homeless in a civilized society, you can sell the big issue on the side of the road. I have been homeless a few times but all self inflicted and I always climbed myself out.

We have quite a problem here in the UK with homeless people but most are all addicts and it wouldn't pay you to take them in, I would take their dogs in though I'm sure most of them have not had the fortune of lying in front of the fire and feeling warm and safe.

at least the drug and homeless problem is a little controled in uk....... i think in isreal they hang homeless addicts....not sure if its isreal.

I don't want to fix it im saying if a family has no home after an earthquake well then I care or if a little kid playing with matches burns the house down, or if dad is retrenched and they cant afford the mortgage. But not someone who gets money but continually wastes it all on drink or drugs. You can get unemployment benefits and rent assistance here of $300 week and you can get a bond loan for a housing bond (4 weeks rent) Many places do free meals, and there are multiple charities that will pay for utilities.
