Green till the end or let it do it's thing naturally

Most say keep it green till the end but could the end product
turn out better if you let the plant finish off the fan leaves for
the last 7 - 10 days of it's life just like it would unmolested in nature?

I ask cause I supplement my plants with Mexican Bat Guano 10 -1 -1
till the end to keep them green and it works but I heard someone
say it is better to let the plants do their thing the last 7 - 10 days and
cut out the Bat Guano. What do you think?

I use 2-1-1 during veg and 1-4-3 in bloom, until the last two weeks. Too much N during bloom can affect growth pattern, potency and flavor.

Nitrogen promotes vegetative growth, making buds less dense. The plant spends this making leaves rather than flowers. Too much N affects flavor, as well unless the plant is flushed for a couple weeks before harvest.

N does not cause buds to veg in during the flowering photoperiod. There's no false dilemma as in having to choose between keeping your plants green and not giving too much N.

Green till the end IS letting it do its thing naturally. Indoor growing is about creating an optimal environment, not about mimicking (the downsides of) outdoors.

Letting them starve prematurely is not letting them do their thing. To do their thing, they need nutrients, and that always includes N. That said, I wouldn't actually "supplement" N during those last 7-10 days unless I suspect there is way too little N in the medium.

If you need to dry within a week and won't cure it before you sell because the cops can come knocking the door down any day or for whatever reason you are in a rush, end yellow (less chlorophyll, less grass/hay smell when drying too fast). If you want the best quality and quantity without sacrificing one for the other, finish healthy (light green is good enough), and take the time to dry and cure properly.

I suspect my FFOF soil is spent with no N left in it although
I use Liquid food Dyna Grow Bloom 3-12-6 I'm thinking this
by itself may not be enough N to keep them green till the end so do you
suppose just the DG Bloom
contains enough N for the last 7-10 days of flower or is it
best to keep doing what I'm doing to keep them green using supplemental N?

If doing what you're doing is what keeps them green then yes continue doing what you are doing. Just do it in moderation.

It's not even the 3 N I'd be worried about but the 12 P. I'd go for the supplement, but I hope someone who actually uses DG can give you a more informed answer.

Hey... that's odd, your bat guano is 10-1-1? Mexican bats shit more nitrogen? Mine is 2-15-2, 15% Ca, 0.18Mg

You're growing organically Milovan? If so, load the soil with organic amendments prior to using it and let the plant and the microbes decide what it needs throughout its life cycle.

To me this is the biggest benefit of growing organically. Take the guess work out of it

Thank you very much for your help and I will 'just keep doing what I'm doing to keep them green with the Mexican Bat Guano made by the Company Sunleaves from the hydro shops. It is 10-1-1.

To me this is the biggest benefit of growing organically. Take the guess work out of it

I use liquid neuts but excellent advice for when I do go all organic soon. Thank you very much for your help and expertise!

this year I fed a mixture of my veg and bloom nutes deep into flower...and I seen no difference between this year and last year..except this year my buds better but that's just because Im a better grower then i was last year.....my plants are green my buds are full ,frosty ,sticky and stinky..
