My parent's still have the old Electrolux model.
The company still comes out to service it, but it's always the same tech because he's the only one old enough to be familiar with the model.
And yes, that vavuum was used in my mother's house when she was a kid and it works better than any of the ones I have ...
The only competition for Electrolux is my Oreck, the original 8lb vaccum.

I buy a 60$ vac every year because I have animals, pot leaves and dropped buds to suck up. Shit, once they hit the floor it gets a wig on it. toast. But I would love to have a nice vac, want a roomba for 800 sq ft grow room tbh...so dusty living in dust bowl Co.
