Outdoor, Aug 5 and no sign of flower?

Hey guys, Really worried here, I have 3 really good sized plants out in the back, (one is 6 ft tall with the bucket). Everything has gone GREAT in veg, they are very strong and rooted, resilient!

I planted them on May 25th, I live in the upper Northeast USA. It is now Aug 5th and im worried all I see are the pistils and bud sites but they have looked the same for weeks other than upward growth.

A little over a week ago I flushed and switched Nutes to Fox Farm - Big Bloom, and Fox Farm (Tiger Bloom).

The sunrise is generally at 6:00AM as of now and 8PM for sunset, obviously that's not 12/12, should I be worried or is there anything I can do to help get them to flower, I only have til September 24th to harvest, it gets cold early here. Just doesnt seem like it will get enough flowering time if I don't do something soon!

I had the same problem last year so this year I started to force flower by bringing her into adark room 12-12 it's been one week now and oh my gosh there are little buds starting everywhere. I have clones still outside through the night and they have not yet started to flower. My suggestion would be to force flower her if you can bring her in the complete darkness for 12 hours. I too am also using the Fox Farm nutrient same as you and she's really just exploded this last week. Check out my grow journal can see some pics I live in the upper northwest.

As in back yard? Looks like it from the grass anyways.

If they're in the back yard and if it's a possibility just bring them inside at night, then toss em back outside an hour before sunrise?
Your house will smell like dope all night but it'll be well worth it for a week or 3+ flowering time.
The cold will bring out nice color.
The added time will make em fatten up a lot more/tricomes mature. So win win situation there.
And your guns will go from being a pair of sissy 9mms to some .357 magnums hauling those pots in and out. The ladiez will thank you for it.

I am also Northeastern US. I actually just found pistils on Aug 2nd, having planted May 23rd. I carry them inside at night, but only for security and shelter, I don't mess with the hours of daylight yet. I was thinking of building a small blackout tent for flowering, but it seems very conspicuous. She's like 2ft tall now.

That's what I'm doing. .but why bring em out an hour before subrise?? My girl goes to bed at 8 and wakes up at 8..by that time the sun is already up and hopefully shining bright. So why before sunrise?? Right now our days are really long

You should be good, they look like they're starting to pre-flower, could do some light dep as suggested above to speed things up. I'm in southern Ontario so not far off your parallel. They started the stretch about 10 days ago and showing pre-flowers now but no actual flowers yet. I pull them by October 1st +-3 days for years now, sometime before the first heavy frost they're always ready, they'll adjust to the available light and temps, they've always come through for me. As long as they're not a long-ass flowering sativa you should be good.

I am in southern Ontario too, and was a little worried, especially with all this rain we have been having. If you are well experienced and say I'll be good by October I'll believe you.

Somewhat strain dependent but I've grown probably 20 strains over a 25+ year period outdoor and all finished by 1st week of October, that tells me they adapt to their conditions. Of course there would be exceptions to long-flowering strains like some pure sats like I mentioned above. Sat-dom 8-9 weeks strains have always finished for me, indicas' with shorter flowering times never a problem.

Well my situation I think is slightly unique and I have no idea what strain they are, literally fell into my garden. I do know or think by observation that it's indica dominant. So I'm hoping on a shorter flowering period. Hopefully I find someone with some nice clones for my next grow, then I have an idea what I'm dealing with.

weird...if there is no light leak (Window light or porch light) then I would say strain dependent.. I have one plant that hasn't flowered yet and the rest are 2+ weeks, probably strain as well.

Yeah that's a tough one, some of the basic/golden rules for outdoor are clones (so you don't have 1 male seed ruin your whole crop) and knowledge of the strain if you're up in our parallels. Not very forgiving, you have about 9-10 weeks from 3rd week of July which is when they'll have started stretch/pre-flower. Pick a strain that's rated at 8 weeks or less and you'll be good, more yield as they'll have proper time to ripen. But again, imo they adapt to their environment quick, you may not get as much yield with longer flowering strains but they'll typically finish by 1st week of October regardless.

Well as soon as the grass was growing, the seeds started growing. They popped up in a few spots, probably around 7 I think. I knew what they were when I seen them.

I gave them a little time in the ground, dug them up, transplanted to a 1 gallon pot, and then into to ground when they were almost 8 inches. Topped them at 2 feet tall( late I know, I'm new)

They are smothered between all my tomato plants now, but I've spread the tomatoes apart with stakes, and there are 2 at 3.5' and one at 4'

BUMP

Hey guys I've bee bringing them into the shed each night and taking them out at around 8:00 AM since it gets dark outside at 8:00 PM. I havent seen a noticeable difference but took close up pictures of the bud sites from all 3 plants. Am I gonna be okay?

I keep feeding it big bloom and tiger bloom. I've just done so much work with veg, and I have the time,I just want this to work for positive, counting on these plants for late September, early oct if its warm enough
