Why the hell is there a bare wire hanging in the room??? Get a box and put them in it capped off. Jeezus!!!!
sorry but whats the point of this thread ?
I don't know if you can read that well or not, guy.. But I couldn't possibly have made my point any clearer, guy .. if you cant understand that you might as well jump off a bridge lol JK. But the point (if your literate) people should now be able to identify live wires by their color and how to test if their live.

As an electrician, as a temporary work safety measure, I'd short the offending conductors together with a wirenut. If live, this will trip the associated OCPD and prevent the entire circuit from being re energized prior to unboxed junction being properly addressed.

Well guy I can read! And I doubt there are many people with live bare wires in their grow room. Also at what point did you explain how to test if they were live? I guess I missed that!
Perhaps as stated by some one else, identifying and de-energizing the circuit would be better. Again I ask why is there a bare wire in the room to begin with and maretting it off is not the proper way to deal with it but hey go for it. And hell ya if its live use it :). Just tape your light plug to it, should work perfect.

It does not matter if alot of people have live wires in their room,, if 2-3 people saw this post then recognized live wires and put their gloves on then is relevant post wouldn't you agree? probably not cause you dont understand what you read that well,, . not everybody has qualified electrician tools handy.

If they arent smart enough to deal with bare wires they will only be dumber after reading the op.
Giving bad advice on an open forum about something as critical and dangerous as electricity was your bad.

Gee, charbroil, you should do your research before claiming this is bad advice,, everything I said coincides with proven, professional methods of capping off wires. If you don't believe me then you can just do a google search and see for yourself. Let the big boys talk about something critical, and dangerous as electricity That's how you learn and get better. :)

What MATTERS

fucktards who admittedly haven't even a residential wiremans license should NOT be starting threads pretending to provide information pertaining to electricity and electrical safety. You are endangering the lives of gullible souls, their loved ones and neighbors.

Sober the fuck up.

Capping off wires?

May I request that in your infinite wisdom, you might cite a NEC (or any) code section for our bigboy reference?
