Livewires in the Growroom and how to deal w/ them

Something alotta growers may have in their room but overlooked is Open Electrical Wires. In order to properly deal w/ this potential safety hazard is this:

-Identify the live wires. typically live wires are red or black.

-You can test to see if its live with two pairs of rubber gloves, and rubber insole shoes.

-If the wires are live you can- a) attempt to cap off the wires yourself or b) get a certified electrician to cap off the wires for you. (recommended)
Heres what live wires look like: 1)notice the live wire is the second from left, red color

If possible buy junction boxes and mount them securly.

Cap your splices in this box.

Make sure you have the acceptable amount of twists in the wire.

If you dont understand this google it.

Yeah.
I have done my share of repairing wire.
Often laying on the ground under a house on the ground.

Just for clarification you can not id Live wires by looking at them.

Your picture shows bare wires.
We wont know if they are live until we suck on them.

Well in case you don't happen to keep a Live wire tester handy, wire capping them off is the best way to go, like I said

Or just unhook them from the distribution panel

Why the hell is there a bare wire hanging in the room??? Get a box and put them in it capped off. Jeezus!!!!

Because rubber gloves and insoles will negate the electrical current rather than conduct it, giving you enough cushion to test the wire and see if its live

Gotcha. Just seems like an electrical line tester would be safer imo.
