Pros & Cons of a Grow Partner

I would think it could be good to have one for help with potential security issues (you could have someone there 24/7 and not have to worry about being gone as much + if someone does try to break in you have someone else to help out and you could go on vacations if you would want etc etc. but they could also be a potential security risk, if deciding to move out and getting mad for whatever reason and setting you up etc.) So really I guess overall I think a roommate would be a convenient type thing as a plus and financially helps with rent or whatever.

But with the golden rule "tell no one" - loose lips sink ships... I wonder what is best in general

So, to you all that have had experience growing with someone vs. growing alone please help out here, not quite sure what is best.

Thanks,
Ex

well its a big plus if your out side . because some place have guard towers . and guys standing with there ar 15 rifles theses are larger grows .need a few helpers . or a large inside grow like a ware house or old body shop or bowling alley with a plant count over 500 . lot of work and money to start up. best with 2 people but if your small time under 99 then you don't need a partner . will cut in on your profits . not worth it . me I 100 % legal and plant number state legal . but I might or seen these things listed above. they will make huge profits until they get busted sooner or later . I would not get a partner if it was under 99 plants. its just worth it in a indoor grow . but 60 plants or so out doors well worth a partner .

Pretty much destined for failure if operating illegally. 9 of 10 growing partnerships end badly due to things like greed, women and complacency.

If you are legally operating then I've but one word, contract.

Much better alone. I've worked with 2 different partners, both are loved and close to me. But still. There's going to be billions of circumstances where you'll see fit to do it one way, and he/she will want to do it another way. Also, growing properly takes MOTIVATION and balls. If you can't rely on that person to do what they say they're going to do without delay, might as well just forget about it.

Damn Diesel your thinking crazy big haha. Naw just a small outdoor grow not trying anything too crazy.

So pretty much what everyone has said pretty much confirmed my gut feeling. Sounds like best to go solo or get a legal contract set-up as Snaps has suggested.. My original thought was just splitting rent and each doing our own grow at same location.. But sounds like still a bad idea.

So if growing outdoors, the same concepts apply and its still a bad idea? Maybe a huge dog such as a Caucasian Shepard or some other large sentry dog as a substitute/gaurd? (I've read stories of people poisoning dogs, etc so am aware of that) I truly appreciate you all taking the time to help me out!! If I can ever figure out how to give +Rep on here again (if they still have that system) I would love to do so.

How do you plan to split the legal fees and possible prison term/s associated with said risk?

Snaps-Just keep it all legal in one way or another and stay low plant count lol.. which is another disadvantage to a friend i was thinking about ... that means you'd automatically have more plants

UncleReemis-Haha wtf okay i'll keep that in mind lol that does suck no more +Rep though :/

For sureee. Why did they remove those features and change the site?
They switched from vBulletin to Xenforo, so they lost the rep feature I assume. However, the new site is much more functional and efficient.
It's a little harsh on my eyes though..

Ah I see that makes sense. Harsh on your eyes? Does seem kind of bright! My only complaint is it will occasionally say website offline, but still lets me view threads due to cloud or something idk. Overall does seem more efficient/quicker though
