WHOA there fella, this isn't money being given to them, its a Fancy shmancy loan that they will default on , which will then give the IMF's favorite Enforcer (USSA) a reason to go in and make sure that puppet governments STAY puppet governments.

FWIW all of the loan money will be given to Ukraine so that Ukraine can then give it to RUSSIA!!! Because Russian Gas Giant Company Gazprom is owed $3.2 Billion as of the 7th and if they don't get at least a majority payment, the energy shuts off. Want to see what a country does when it no longer has any energy? I kind of do, but apparently its so ghastly the PTB can not afford such a scene.

Actually our money is supposed to ONLY BE gold or silver, not paper certificates at all, ever. What people don't understand about gold is that it cannot be printed out of thin air or created by computer strokes so that in itself creates an environment where at the very least everyone needs to be much much more responsible with how they spend. If we were on a gold standard, many banks that keep our economies on a leash through distorted financial tactics and an ever present open hand that takes as much money as it wants, usually at the expense of the rest of the population, would not be able to perpetrate the incredible number of scams and cheats on the World's citizens.

Even though this is a joint effort with other countries involved,
that money will end up in Russian hands.
I saw on the news tonight Ukraine has given up on the cities occupied by Russia and will
concentrate on defending other cities close to the border.

First off, the entire amount is not coming from US coffers. It is just measured in US currency. It is coming from the IMF. Not much different but different.

Secondly the best possible use of dollars is to buy fossil fuels if one cares about the US economy (empire) because it is petroleum and the demand thereof which gives our currency its value, not gold.

Finally, it is a brilliant move. Giving that country our money is the easiest, cheapest and most effective way of garnering support for a West oriented Ukraine. I can just imagine the newspeak headlines in Ukraine telling the masses that Merica saved them from power outages imposed by Putin.

I thought that Ukraine would certainly become Putin's spoils.

I usually don't agree with you, but this strategy is 100x more effective for "hearts and minds" than the "freeing the shit out of" countries policy exacted for the last 50 years.

How much would fighting Putin cost?

I suspect the ultimate price, so 17bill out of a 2 trillion dollar budget?

Pocket change.

This is why Russia acts hostile, we use the excuse of trying to stop attacks but that action is what makes them want to attack America.
About 10 years ago, defensive missiles where given to a former Soviet Union country and Russia thought the same thing as America when Cuba was getting missiles for defense (the Cuban Missile Crisis)

Don't get me wrong, I hate russia and think it's the most heartless and corrupt nation of white people, but the U.S acts like they don't poke them.

Russia is fine, the people of Crimea (sp?) voted to join Russia, the Ukrainian rebel leadership is very shady in their own right, taking sides on this issues is a fools game.
